Crown Trade – FastFlow Quick Dry Satin Finish – White – 1l & 2.5L
Silky smooth Fastflow Quick Dry Satin Finish in White, is a water-based, which has a durable satin finish, for use on suitably prepared interior and exterior joinery and metalwork.
FastFlow Quick Dry Satin Finish has an excellent opacity, and a fabulous smooth, attractive finish.
The paint has all the characteristics of a traditional solvent based satin, with the added benefits of a water based formulation, including quick drying and low odour.
Fastflow Quick Dry Satin Finish is available in white and is available to buy in 1L, 2.5L and 5L pots.
Drying Time:
In good conditions, Fastflow is touch dry after 1-2 hours and recoatable in 4-6 hours but always ensure that the previous coat is fully dry though before applying a second coat.
During low temperatures or high humidity, drying times may be extended.
Fastflow finishes to a satin sheen.
Coverage:
Can cover up to 15m² per litre depending on the surface texture.
Limitations:
Don’t apply when the air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C, or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period, as this could affect the adhesion of the paint to the surface.
How to prepare new surface timber and timber based boards (Including MDF):
Treat knots with two coats of knotting, then fill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a Ready Mixed Filler.
Rub down with a suitable grade of abrasive sandpaper and remove all dust after sanding.
All surfaces must be suitably dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the paint.
Prime with one coat of Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat.
All metals:
Surfaces must be clean and free from anything that will interfere with the materials to be applied.
Lightly abrade to a bright (not polished) surface – excluding galvanised surfaces, then wash with hot water and Sugar Soap solution to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.
Fastflow coverage:
For best results apply two coats.
Be aware that newly painted doors and windows should not be closed until the paint is fully dry.
How to Apply Fastflow Quick Dry Satin Finish:
Stir well before use.
Apply using a good quality synthetic brush or a good quality micro fibre medium pile roller to achieve an even layer.
To assist application on porous substrates the surface may be dampened slightly, and maintain a wet edge.
On timber, lay off in the direction of the grain and avoid excessive de-nibbing in-between coats.
If using an airless spray, dilution may be required.
Cleaning your brushes/rollers:
Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use.
