Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat is a water-based primer undercoat with excellent coverage and quick drying properties.
The Primer Undercoat is suitable for interior and exterior joinery and correctly prepared metalwork.

A roller, brush or spray can be used.
Coverage:
Coverage can be up to 15m2/litre, depending on surface texture and porosity.
Primer Undercoat is touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable in 4 hours.
Don’t apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.
PREPARATION:
New Surfaces Timber and Timber Based Boards (Including MDF)
Treat knots with two coats of knotting and fill fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a filler.
Rub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper and remove all dust from the surfaces.
Surfaces must be suitable dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.
Prime with one coat of Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat.
All metals:
Surfaces must be clean and free from anything that will interfere with the primer.
Lightly abrade to a bright (not polished) surface – excluding galvanised surfaces.
Wash with hot water and Sugar Soap to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Allow to dry.
Previously Decorated Surfaces Timber:
Remove all loose and flaking or suspect paint material, then treat knots with two coats of knotting.
Fill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a filler.
Rub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper prior to applying Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat.
Coating system:
Apply one coat as above but be advised that certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration.
Application:
Stir well before use.
Apply with a good quality Cervus brush or micro fibre roller in order to achieve an even thickness.
To assist application on porous substrates the surface may be dampened slightly.
Maintain a wet edge.
On timber, lay off in the direction of the grain and avoid excessive de-nibbing inbetween coats.
If using an airless spray, dilution may be required.
Cleaning:
Return surplus material to the container and clean your equipment with warm, soapy water immediately after use.
