Crown Trade – Silk Vinyl – RAL 5018 – 2.5.
RAL colour 5018 has the colour name Turquoise Blue.
This RAL colour is in the Blue hues category and part of the RAL Classic colour system.
Crown Trade Silk Vinyl is a premium quality silk emulsion for interior use on wall and ceiling surfaces, where a washable high sheen finish is required.
Popular areas for painting using Silk Vinyl are kitchens and bathrooms because of its easy wipe down property.
PREPARATION:
New Surfaces:
All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.
Porous surfaces should be coated with a ‘mist’ coat of Silk Vinyl, diluted with 40% clean water by volume.
Previously Decorated Surfaces:
All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied e.g. dirt, grease etc.
Remove all loose, failing or suspect paint and feather edges of sound paint.
Fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with a filler.
Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and a liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water.
Glossy or eggshell surfaces should be wet abraded to provide a key,rinsed with clean water to remove all residues, then be allowed to dry.
COATING SYSTEM:
Apply two coats as required, be aware that certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration.
APPLICATION:
Stir well before use.
Apply using a brush or a medium pile roller.
When using an airless spray, dilution may be required.
Don’t apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8ºC or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.
CLEANING:
Return surplus material to containerand wash painting equipment with clean water immediately after use.
