Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat is a water-based primer undercoat with excellent coverage and quick drying properties.<\/p>\n

The Primer Undercoat is suitable for interior and exterior joinery and correctly prepared metalwork.<\/p>\n

– Breatheasy
\n– Feels like a traditional undercoat
\n– Quick drying
\n– Interior and exterior use
\n– Ideal basecoat for Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Satin
\n– Matt finish<\/p>\n

A roller, brush or spray can be used.<\/p>\n

Coverage<\/strong>:
\nCoverage can be up to 15m2\/litre, depending on surface texture and porosity.<\/p>\n

Primer Undercoat is touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable in 4 hours.<\/p>\n

Don’t apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8\u00b0C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.<\/p>\n

PREPARATION:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

New Surfaces Timber and Timber Based Boards (Including MDF)<\/strong>
\nTreat knots with two coats of knotting and fill fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a filler.
\nRub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper and remove all dust from the surfaces.
\nSurfaces must be suitable dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.
\nPrime with one coat of Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat.<\/p>\n

All metals:<\/strong>
\nSurfaces must be clean and free from anything that will interfere with the primer.
\nLightly abrade to a bright (not polished) surface \u2013 excluding galvanised surfaces.
\nWash with hot water and Savon de sucre<\/a> to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water.
\nRinse thoroughly with clean water.
\nAllow to dry.<\/p>\n

Previously Decorated Surfaces Timber:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Remove all loose and flaking or suspect paint material, then treat knots with two coats of knotting.
\nFill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a filler.
\nRub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper prior to applying Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat.<\/p>\n

Coating system:
\n<\/strong>Apply one coat as above but be advised that certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Stir well before use.
\nApply with a good quality Cervus<\/a> brush or micro fibre roller in order to achieve an even thickness.
\nTo assist application on porous substrates the surface may be dampened slightly.
\nMaintain a wet edge.
\nOn timber, lay off in the direction of the grain and avoid excessive de-nibbing inbetween coats.
\nIf using an airless spray, dilution may be required.<\/p>\n

Cleaning:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Return surplus material to the container and clean your equipment with warm, soapy water immediately after use.<\/p>\n
