Macpherson – Acrylic Primer Undercoat – 2.5L – White.<\/p>\n

A fast drying, water-based acrylic primer undercoat with excellent opacity and no residual odour.<\/p>\n

Ideal for interior priming of softwoods, hardwoods, hardboards and as an interior undercoat for gloss finishes.<\/p>\n

For interior use only.
\nDo not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8\u00baC or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.<\/p>\n

PREPARATION:<\/h4>\n

New surfaces:
\nAll surfaces must be suitably dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Rub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper.
\nRemove all dust.
\nTimber with oils\/extractives must be swabbed with clean dearomatised white spirit, frequently changing the face of the cloths.
\nTreat knots with two thin coats of fresh knotting.
\nFill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a filler.
\nRub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper.
\nRemove all dust.<\/p>\n

Previously decorated surfaces:
\nAll surfaces must be suitably dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Remove all loose, and failing or suspect paint.
\nRemove grey and denatured surfaces by rubbing down with abrasive paper.
\nFeather edges of sound paint.
\nRemove all dust.
\nTreat knots with two thin coats of fresh knotting.
\nFill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a filler.
\nRub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper.
\nRemove all dust.
\nWash remaining sound paint with hot water and sugar soap<\/a> to remove any contaminants.
\nWet abraded to provide a key.
\nRinse with clean water to remove all residues.
\nAllow to dry.<\/p>\n

COATING SYSTEM:<\/h4>\n

Apply one or two coats as required.<\/p>\n

APPLICATION:<\/h4>\n

Stir well before use.
\nApply using a good quality fine filament synthetic brush to an even thickness.
\nLay off in the direction of the grain.
\nCan also be applied by roller, airless or conventional spray.<\/p>\n

CLEANING:<\/h4>\n

Return surplus material to container.
\nWash with clean water immediately after use.<\/p>\n

Under normal drying conditions touch dry in 2hours, recoatable after 4 hours. Allow
