Sandtex Trade – Eggshell X-tra is a high performance, solvent based eggshell finish, which has been specially formulated to provide long lasting protection for exterior joinery and suitably primed metal.

It is possible to add a light colour to the white Eggshell X-tra.

Drying Time:

In good conditions, touch dry after six hours and recoatable after sixteen – twenty-four hours.
Previous coat must be fully dry before another application.

Coverage:

12-15m² per litre depending on the surface texture.

Weather conditions:

Don’t apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8ºC, or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

Remove all loose, failing or suspect paint, also remove grey and denatured surfaces by rubbing down with abrasive paper and feather edges of sound paint.
Remove all dust, and any defective putty glazing.
Clean and prime rebates, aiso replacement putties must be allowed to form a hard skin before being painted.
Treat knots with two thin coats of knotting and fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with a filler.
Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and a liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants.
Wet abrade to provide a key, rinse with clean water to remove all residues and allow to dry.

APPLICATION:
Stir well before and during use.
Apply using good quality tools – a synthetic or bristle brush or a short/medium pile roller and maintain a wet edge.

CLEANING:
Return surplus material to container.
Wash tools and equipment with White Spirit immediately after use.

STORAGE:
Store upright and secure.
Store in secure dry conditions inaccessible to children or animals.
Containers should be kept closed during storage.
Don’t store below 5ºC or above 40ºC.
